In honor of its Centennial celebration, JE Dunn is extending its community impact by choosing ten worthy organizations to receive a gift of $100,000 to further their important work. At the Greater Austin YMCA, we believe the values and skills learned early on are vital building blocks for quality of life and future success. We focus on holistically nurturing child development by providing a safe and healthy place to learn foundational skills, develop healthy trusting relationships, and build self-reliance. While nearly 1,000 children aged 8 weeks to 11 years old enjoyed Northwest Family YMCAs FREE Kids Play last year, we knew this space could more deeply support our children’s learning and development while fulfilling an even greater community need.

Plans include major partnership with Concordia University Texas to create shared community sports and wellness facilities.
The YMCA of Austin has purchased a property in West Austin that it will transform into its first center in the Four Points community. The facility is expected to open in 2024 and will provide health and wellness and recreational programs as well as education, enrichment and care for kids.
Located on RM 620 between Anderson Mill and RM 2222, the site had previously served as a Children’s Learning Adventure Child Care Center. The property is 9 acres,
Project S.A.F.E. teaches water safety
Project S.A.F.E. is back at select YMCA of Austin locations with busloads of kids eager for swim lessons and safety around water. When local school children participate in Project S.A.F.E., the lessons serve as their P.E. course for the semester. Kids take the school bus every day to the Y for lessons in water safety and swimming.
