We’re excited to announce the debut of our new Culinary Arts Program! If you’re interested in learning how to cook or improve your cooking skills, cooking classes will begin in August! Registration opens mid-July.

Facility Maintenance at North Austin YMCA
We’re Refreshing Our Space at North Austin YMCA
Starting July 7 through approximately October 3, we’ll be painting the entire facility—excluding the gymnasium and Best Buy Teen Tech Center. The work will begin upstairs and continue throughout the center in phases.
While subject to change, the planned painting schedule is:

Refugee Mother’s Day Artisan Bazaar May 9, 2026
Refugee Holiday Arts & Food Bazaar

- Saturday, May 9, 2026, 10am to 2pm
The North Austin YMCA will transform into an international bazaar on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 10am to 2pm as the Y partners with Global Impact Initiative (GII) to host a Refugee Mother’s Day Arts & Food Bazaar.
The free community event features the work of refugees from Ukraine, Afghanistan, Cuba and others who have recently settled in Austin. The artisans will be showcasing hand-made goods including jewelry, handbags, dresses, leather goods, candles, decorative cushions, paintings and fresh-baked pastries, treats and traditional foods (Come hungry!). Free Day of Therapy May 22, 2024
Observe Mental Health Awareness Month by taking advantage of a free 30-minute counseling session on Wednesday, May 22, with YMCA Counseling.
Prioritize your mental and emotional health.
Sessions are available 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. Bilingual (English & Spanish) sessions are available by request.
