The YMCA of Austin is happy to offer sports programs for both youth and adults!
Winter Youth Sports registration is now open! We are offering Basketball, Track, Volleyball, and Flag Football. Not all sports offered at all branches, check your local YMCA for their availability,
Our programs range from entry-level leagues and sports camps for developing skills to competitive leagues for more experienced participants.
YMCA sports aren't just for kids. We offer basketball, volleyball, soccer, tennis, dance, kickball & martial arts for adults...not to mention all of our group exercise!
Get up and dance! Whether you are 2 or 92, dancing can be soul lifting and offer a great mind-body workout.
Instruction in the art of dance helps people of all ages to embrace their own individuality. Combining movement with creative inspiration, dancers develop a personal enjoyment for art and culture while building confidence in their own ability to express themselves to others.
The YMCA of Austin has a gymnastics programs you will flip for! We teach kids to tumble, run, jump and twist in our kid-friendly programs. From ages 3-12, kids learn movement skills, fine motor skills, tumbling skills and advanced gymnastics elements.
Many gymnastics classes are FREE for Y members, and registration is not necessary for free classes.
Discipline. Dedication Desire. Top-notch martial arts training is available for everyone from beginner level to the competitive athlete. Programs available for youth and adults.
Instructors will teach you how to use your strength effectively, maintain cardiovascular fitness, improve flexibility and coordination, as well as tone the muscular system.
The YMCA stresses child-oriented attitudes by keeping winning in perspective, having fun, improving physical fitness, and working with the whole child. The YMCA wants the quality of play to improve in order to meet the needs of all participants whatever their ability and skills.
The YMCA accomplishes this by training adult volunteers in clinics and workshops that the child comes first and winning comes second.
YMCA Teen Sports offer a great balance of competition, skill development and sportsmanship. When participants work together in a team atmosphere, they learn how to make decisions, communicate, work on team building, trust, and build character. We teach the fundamentals of each sport, and just as important, we focus on the YMCA’s character development traits of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.

Beginner or Novice? We have friendly, experienced, certified coaches to take you from standing still to swimming, biking and running in your first triathlon. Our Rookie Tri Training is a perfect start into the world of triathlon. Try it, you'll love it!
Intermediate or Advanced? Join us weekly for weekly interval training or prep yourself for the Pflugerville and Kerrville Tri's. Our USA Triathlon Certified Coaches will help train you to successfully complete your first olympic distance or 70.3 race! The Y also offers masters swimming, group swim technique improvement (stroke clinic), private swim lessons, and personal training to get you strong and ready to race.
