What’s Happening at North Austin YMCA in September 2026

Welcome Alan Gong, North Austin YMCA Health & Wellness Director!

Originally from New York City, Alan brings 20 years of experience spanning fitness, wellness, and brand leadership. He began his career as a Certified Personal Trainer, later founded Bootcamp One in Shanghai, China, and spent a decade with Nike, including leading Men’s Fitness and Nike Basketball marketing across Greater China. Most recently, he served as a personal trainer and program designer with UT RecSports.

Alan’s passion for wellness is fueled by his own athletic background in collegiate boxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Spartan racing. Now an Austin resident, husband, and proud “girl dad” of two daughters, Alan believes in making fitness practical, empowering, and accessible for everyday life.

Alan is excited to help our members prioritize self-care, build confidence, and live healthier lives. Please join us in giving him a warm North Austin YMCA welcome!
