The TownLake YMCA will transform into an international bazaar on Sunday, September 13, 2026, from 1pm to 4pm as the Y partners with Global Impact Initiative (GII) to host a Welcoming Week Refugee Arts & Food Bazaar.
The free community event features the work of refugees from Ukraine, Afghanistan, Cuba and others who have recently settled in Austin. The artisans will be showcasing hand-made goods including jewelry, handbags, dresses, leather goods, candles, decorative cushions, paintings and fresh-baked pastries, treats and traditional foods (Come hungry!). 5v5 Coed Basketball Tournament May 18, 2024
Get ready to lace up those kicks and slam dunk into the action because it’s time for our 2nd Annual 5v5 Adult Basketball Tournament! We’re calling all ballers, shot-callers, and three-point swishers to hit the court and show us what you’ve got!
- Date: Saturday, May 18th, Tip off at 1:00 P.M.
- Location: Hays Communities Y Gymnasium.
- Game Play: Single Elimination, 6 team maximum.
- Age Requirement: 16 and up – because basketball knows no age limit!
But wait, there’s more! Spectators of all ages, get ready to join the action with our half-time 2v2 3-point contest!
