Welcome New Board Member John Duke

John began his career in commercial construction in 2004 and has uniquely served in both Project Management and Field Supervision roles for such notable projects as 500 West 2nd Street high-rise office building, University of Texas’ Norman Hackerman Experimental Sciences Building, Dell Children’s Medical Center Bed Tower Addition, Concordia University Campus Relocation and The Domain mixed-use Campus.  John’s “boots on the ground” management approach brings a deep understanding of daily field operations to complement his management style. Since joining CPM, John has been active in projects such as the RBJ Redevelopment, the Travis County North Campus, the Austonian, Indeed Tower Finish Out, Texas Association of Counties, Goodwin Apartments, Austin Cancer Centers, Kissing Tree Amenities, and Health South.

John is a native of Louisiana (Geaux Tigers!) and moved to Texas at an early age where he grew up in the Dallas area.  After earning his B.S. in Landscape Design from the University of Texas at Arlington, John moved to Austin to begin his career and never looked back.  He served on the Board of Directors for United Methodist Action Reach-out Mission by Youth (UM ARMY) and is a member of Urban Land Institute and Riverbend Church.

When John is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his wife Jenna and two kids, Lily Anna and Connor.  John is an avid woodworker, enjoys building furniture and learning from his mistakes.
