Laurie McDaniel
As a group exercise instructor, Laurie brings a fun and energetic quality to personal training. Laurie began teaching group exercise when she was 19 and her fitness journey helping others has continued ever since. She has taught anything and everything. One of her favorite classes to teach is Senior Fitness.
Laurie has expertise in balance and fall prevention which is important at any age and coming from a dance background, Laurie focuses on posture and alignment with all of her clients. As a personal trainer, she believes in helping clients branch out, trying new things to help the body to produce results in strength, general cardiovascular fitness, endurance and flexibility.
She is an avid runner and loves hikes with her two dogs and husband. Laurie has worked for the YMCA in some capacity for about 15 years collectively and got her first personal trainer certification in 2018 through National Council on Strength and Fitness. Laurie is a born and raised Austinite and has two daughters ages 20 and 17- who are her biggest source of pride and joy.
