👕 🧸 Kids Clothes & Toy Exchange | Saturday, September 13th

Give What You Can; Take What You Need | Saturday, September 13th from 11:00am – 1:00pm

Looking to refresh your kids’ closets or pass along gently-used toys? Join us for our first Kids Clothing & Toy Exchange, a free community event where families can donate and pick up items in great condition — all while reducing waste and supporting local families.

How It Works:

  • Drop Off: Bring gently-used children’s clothing, shoes, books, and toys (ages infant to 12) during our drop-off window.
  • Exchange Time: During the exchange hours, “shop” for items you need — completely free!
  • No Item Donation Required to Participate: Even if you don’t have anything to give this time, you’re welcome to take what your family can use.
  • No Cost to Participate: However, we will be accepting donations for Northwest Y’s annual campaign that provides financial assistance to our community members.

 🧸 Ages: Infant – 12 years
💡 Bonus: Any unclaimed items will be donated to local nonprofits supporting children and families.

Let’s help each other, build community, and keep good stuff out of the landfill! 💚

Welcoming Back McNeil Mavericks!

We are excited for our Mavericks to get back to learning! School starts Tuesday, August 12, which also means there will be added traffic congestion on McNeil Drive in the mornings and afternoons. Northwest Y is planning additional measures to assist with a smooth transition back to school and to ensure our parking lots are safe and accessible to our members.

  • Reminder: Parking is only for Y members and staff using our facility. No student parking is allowed.
  • Reminder: No dropping off or picking up students from our parking lots.
  • Students who park in Y lots will be towed by TX Towing Service & Private Property Impounds at 512-789-4277.
  • McNeil students must purchase parking permits from McNeil High School and park at the high school.
  • Y members, for the first few weeks of school, please give yourself extra time to get to and from the YMCA from 8:30am-9:15am and 4:20-5:00pm as we may be stopping vehicles before entering our lots to ensure they are members.

Thank you for your patience and assistance.
