We’re excited to announce the debut of our new Culinary Arts Program! If you’re interested in learning how to cook or improve your cooking skills, cooking classes will begin in August! Registration opens mid-July.
Summer in the Teen Tech Center
Our first official summer in the Best Buy Teen Tech Center powered by Meta at COA/YMCA North Austin has been a hit! We offer teens aged 12-18 free access to state-of-the-art technology! If you’ve yet to see our epic space, come by for a tour!

Programs Currently Open for Registration
Youth Programs
- Youth Boxing (ages 7-16) is back, CLICK HERE to register!

Holiday Hours of Operation
Special holiday hours Friday, July 4 – 8:00 am – 3:00 pm
North Austin Y is Getting a Fresh Coat of Paint!
Starting July 7 through approximately October 3, we’re enhancing the entire facility with new paint—excluding the gymnasium and Best Buy Teen Tech Center. The work will begin upstairs and continue throughout the center in phases.
While subject to change, the planned painting schedule:
- July 7 – Yoga Room
- July 10 – Studio X
- July 17 – Spin Room
- July 25 – Weight Room
- August 1 – Cardio Area
- August 8 – 2nd Floor Offices
- August 15 – 2nd Floor Restrooms
- August 25 – Kids Play
- September 8 – 1st Floor Offices
- September 16 – 1st Floor Restrooms
- September 22 – 1st Floor Hallways
- September 29 – Pool Entry & Rails
- October 1 – Pool Locker Rooms & Family Changing Room
These areas will be roped off while painters are actively painting and to allow the paint to dry. Please check the group fitness schedule on YMCA360 for classes impacted by the painting.
