Jeff Bomer Legacy of Giving Circle

This legacy of giving circle is named after a dear friend, volunteer and donor to the YMCA, Jeff Bomer. Jeff served the Greater Austin YMCA from 1973 until November 2017. Before his passing, we presented him with this small tribute to his service. We hope to keep his philanthropic spirit alive through this giving circle. Eligibility for the Jeff Bomer Legacy of Giving Circle is granted to all individuals and families that have contributed $100,000 or more to the YMCA over time. *While these changemakers are no longer with us, their impact continues to live on in our community.

In 1891, Luther H. Gulick, M.D., proposed a triangle as the symbol of the YMCA. The equilateral triangle represents a holistic approach to personal development.

Each side—mind, body and spirit—reflects the Y’s dedication to nurturing, not just individual parts of our well-being, but a whole person approach to developing well-balanced individuals and strong communities.

“We are not a mind and a body and a spirit, but the wonderful result of their union” (Luther H. Gulick, M.D., 1894).

The Triangle Society, named after this meaningful and enduring symbol, honors individuals who share a deep commitment to the YMCA’s purpose and values. Your generosity enables individuals, kids, and families from diverse backgrounds to achieve lifelong success. It is through your philanthropic investment that we can provide programs and services, from cradle to career and beyond, that nurture the whole person and strengthen communities to build a better world. Together, we are elevating the quality of life in Greater Austin by boldly expanding access for all children, adults, families and seniors in our dynamically growing community.

The Triangle Society recognizes individual donors whose charitable contributions total $1,000 or more from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31. Inclusion is renewable annually. Additionally, the Triangle Society recognizes lifetime donors who are members of the Jeff Bomer Legacy of Giving, donating $100,000 or more over time.
