Fundraise

Thank you for your interest in fundraising for the Y and helping us bring programs for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility to more of our neighbors. 

Your fundraising will support the YMCA of Austin’s Annual Giving Campaign. This is the primary effort of the Y to raise the critical funds needed to support financial assistance and to expand programming.

The YMCA of Austin is proud to serve nearly 100,000 members and 30,000 program participants annually. As a mission-driven nonprofit, we also provide financial assistance to ensure that everyone can access our programs, regardless of the ability to pay. 

The driving force behind the Annual Giving Campaign is our community of dedicated staff and volunteers helping to share the mission of the Y. These supporters and volunteers are called Community Champions. Alongside branch volunteers, they belong to the Cause Squad.

Become a Community Champion 

Community Champions raise critical funds by asking their networks to support the Y. Most of our Community Champions’ fundraising takes place leading up to Amplify Austin (March 5-6, 2020) and our Annual Campaign (March 5-April 16) although Community Champions may also fundraise around special events, birthdays, and holidays. 

Your goal amount is set by you – we are just grateful for your support! You may choose to fundraise on Amplify Austin, our fundraising platform, or offline – it’s up to you.  When you sign up, you’ll receive a fundraising toolkit, support from our team and your own digital fundraising page! You’ll also be invited to special appreciation events, which are great ways to meet other Community Champions and learn more about the Y’s work.
