Fitness Orientations

We are here to help you get acquainted with our fitness equipment and meet your fitness goals. We offer 3 types of FREE sessions to all members:
  • Fitness Intro
  • Equipment Orientation
  • Personal Training Consultation

If you are a youth member interested in using the fitness center, complete our Teen Fitness Orientation here. The Health & Wellness Director at your branch will contact you to schedule a practical test once you’ve completed the online portion.

Fitness Intro

Not sure where to start? Have a conversation with one of our wellness staff members. This 15-20 minute conversation will point you in the right direction.

During this conversation, our staff members will

  • Learn more about you and why you've chosen the Y for your wellness
  • Tell you a little bit about the vast array of programs that we offer
  • Work with you to map out which of our programs is best for you

Fitness Equipment Orientations

We understand that walking into a fitness center, with its many types of equipment, can be intimidating. Let us help you! During an orientation, you will learn how to use the cardiovascular and/or strength equipment in our wellness centers to increase your health and well-being. Orientations will be one-on-one or in small groups, depending on the branch.

Personal Training Consultation

Meet one-on-one with a certified personal trainer for a free consultation. During this consultation, you will learn more about the personal training program options available to you, based on your goals and needs.
