FAQs I'm not a member, can I still come to the Y? Yes, each Saturday during the RESET Challenge, community members are welcome to enjoy exercise and recreation activities at YMCA of Austin branches. We are open Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. (North Austin and East Communities YMCAs open at 10 a.m. on Saturdays). If you simply want to exercise using equipment in our Fitness Center, no advance registration is required. If you’d like to join a Group Exercise class, swim in our pools or play in our gym, we encourage you to call ahead to make a reservation. You can call up to one day in advance. You are also welcome to visit the Y without a reservation, but you will not be guaranteed a spot in your preferred activity. And don’t forget, wearing a mask is always required. Do I need to make reservations to utilize the Y during Reset? You do not need to make a reservation to use the fitness center, machines, or weights. However, if you want to participate in a Group Exercise class, use the gymnasium or swim laps, you will not be guaranteed a spot in your preferred activity without one. To make a reservation, call the Welcome Center at your favorite YMCA of Austin facility and let them know you are participating in the RESET challenge to make a reservation as a guest. Can I visit the Y any other time than Saturdays during Reset? If you visit the Y on a day other than Saturday, you may receive a guest pass by taking a guided tour. Limit one guest pass per year. You can also utilize the Y and take advantage of pools and programs by joining as a member or by purchasing a day pass. How do I track my progress? It’s easy. Simply print out this Tracking Chart and log your progress toward your goals. The Reset Challenge is entirely self-paced, so you’re in charge of your activity schedule.
