Seventy-five percent of our health and wellness is nutrition based.  The YMCA is pleased to offer The Quick Cook as a way for busy families and individuals to learn basic nutrition, kitchen skills and importantly, how to save time buying groceries and how to prepare healthy, nutritious and great-tasting meals - quickly.

The YMCA of Austin’s The Quick Cook is an interactive 4-week series of classes that emphasize saving time while buying and preparing healthy, nutritious and meals for you and your family.  Classes meet once a week for 90 minutes to watch cooks prepare the week’s recipe, discuss food and nutrition and learn from each other.  Everyone leaves each class with new knowledge and skills and a recipe to prepare.
