Summer Camp Protocols for 2022 Summer Camp will be updated on this page as we continue to follow local and CDC health recommendations and Executive Order in regards to COVID-19.

Current YMCA safety protocols in place include the practices below. COVID guidelines are subject to change. We will continue to follow advice by public health officials:

  • Smaller ratios are maintained per state guidelines and CDC recommendations
  • 3 ft. social distancing adherence
  • Frequent hand washing
  • Facility deep cleaned daily with hourly wipe downs
  • Temperature checks prior to entry
  • Drop-off / Pick-up outside facility
  • Children showing signs of illness will be separated and parents will be called for pickup
  • Masks required for now, for all children and staff
  • DOMESTIC TRAVEL QUARANTINE GUIDENCE:  EAC Y strongly encourage children have a 3-5 day quarantine upon returning from domestic travel.
  •  INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL: EAC Y requires a 2-week quarantine or a negative test after 3-5 days upon return from travel for any child who travels internationally.

Due to the May 18th, 2021 Governor’s Executive Order prohibiting governmental entities – including public schools - in Texas from requiring or mandating mask wearing after June 4th, EAC YMCA programs will comply per district policy as of June 7th.

EACY staff will adjust schedules, where possible, to relocate more activities outside. These policies are in place because children under 12 are not yet eligible for the COVID-19 vaccination. These policies are subject to change due to new recommendations and district requirements.

Registration fees and camp deposit(s) are non-refundable, non-transferable when you submit a cancellation request. Cancellation and transfer requests must be submitted to the EAC YMCA Customer Service team at least 13 calendar days prior to the start of camp. Make sure to use our online cancellation form or transfer request form. These requests can take 3-5 days to complete. Transfers subject to availability.

Cancellation and transfer requests submitted less than 13 calendar days prior to the start of camp will incur a cancellation fee of $25 and/or a transfer fee of $10.

Cancellation or transfer requests will not be accepted on or after the Tuesday before the start of the camp session. No refunds will be given. You will be held responsible for the full amount of camp fees, regardless of whether or not your child attends camp.

Emergency Registration: An emergency registration is defined as any registration occurring Thursday or Friday before the desired camp session. The emergency registration will only be accepted up until 10am on Friday with an additional $50.00 Emergency Registration fee. You must contact the EAC YMCA customer service to request an Emergency Registration.
