Camp Moody Spring Break Camp

Ages 8-12


This Spring Break, campers will go Into the Wild at YMCA Camp Moody! Camp Moody has everything for campers who enjoy exploring the outdoors. Campers’ days will be filled with hikes amongst elms, Mexican buckeyes and live oaks. Campers will learn the sport of archery, practice their slingshot skills, engage in a rich curriculum of outdoor education and crafts, enjoy dips in the pool, test their skills on the rock wall and challenge course, and canoe along Onion Creek. Each day will be spent exploring aspects of the wild such as plant life, animal life, and Entomology. 

Located along Onion creek on 85 acres of pristine wilderness, Camp Moody contains many features of the Edwards Plateau and is on the edge of the Balcones Escarpment. This one-of-a-kind camp will offer your camper the opportunity to connect with nature and make new friends.

Financial Assistance Policy:

EAC YMCA programs and activities are designed to benefit persons of all backgrounds, and fees are based on the cost of providing each program. While participants are expected to pay their fair share, EAC YMCA will assist families that want to participate but cannot afford the fee. Financial Assistance will be awarded to working families that meet our income guidelines and/or can demonstrate a need for fee assistance. Since demand for assistance is great and funds are limited, we encourage parents to apply early. You can complete our prescreen questions while completing your online summer application.

Cancellation requests must be submitted to the EAC YMCA Customer Service team prior to the start of camp. Make sure to use our online cancellation form linked below. These requests can take 3-5 days to complete. 


To cancel your spring break registration, please make sure to complete our online spring break cancellation form. We will reply to let you know once we have completed your cancellation request. Our spring break cancellation/refund policy is as follows:

  • Cancel by February 20 and receive a full refund minus a $25 cancellation fee per child.
  • Cancel by March 2 and receive a 50% refund.
  • No refunds for cancellations submitted after March 2nd.

Emailed cancellation requests will not be accepted.

Current YMCA safety protocols in place include the practices below. COVID guidelines are subject to change. We will continue to follow advice by public health officials:

  • Smaller ratios are maintained per state guidelines and CDC recommendations
  • Facility deep cleaned daily with regular wipe downs
  • 3 ft. social distancing adherence
  • Frequent hand washing 
  • Masks required for all children and staff inside
  • Masks encouraged when outside and not able to social distance
  • Pick-up and drop-off outside facility
  • Children showing signs of illness will be separated and parents will be called for pickup
