Joys and Concerns Circle w/ Your YMCA Chaplain

Everyone is welcome at our monthly Joys and Concerns Circle! This is a time to connect and share from the heart about what is going on in your life.

Have you lost a loved one? Are you celebrating a new job? Are you worried about the state of the world, thankful to be alive, or some of both? Would you like to feel more connected here at the Y?

You are not alone.

At 10:30 a.m., usually* on the second Tuesday of each month, interfaith chaplain and Y team member Rev. Erin Walter leads this Joys and Concerns Circle for all.

Summer Mini-Camps at Hays Communities YMCA

With our summer mini-camps, your child can explore a variety of sports and activities to discover what they like best.

Sports Camps improve game techniques and get kiddos moving and making friends.

Creative Camps offer opportunities to explore different modes of expression for kids of all abilities. Campers can perform as a theater troupe and jam out as their own garage band. Physics concepts come to life, and artistic expression thrives.

Volunteer Opportunities

Hays Communities YMCA offers many ways for people of all ages to give back to the community. Most of our volunteer engagements are designed to get your whole family involved.

When young children discover they are able to help in a meaningful way, they build a foundation of volunteerism that lasts their entire life. As a certifying organization for the President's Volunteer Service Award, teens receive community service credit for the time they spend on these volunteer projects!

Artistic Expression

There's a visual artist within each one of us, and Hays Communities YMCA offers art classes for beginning and emerging artists. Participants explore color, use of lines, and various media.

  • Parent and Me participants ages 3-5 can expect lots of hands-on activities including finger painting and frame decorating along with their parent.

Flip for Gymnastics!

Build skills, make friends, and gain confidence in a gymnastics class. Your gymnast will develop strength, flexibility, and coordination all while having a fun experience. They will be introduced to bars, balance beam, floor, and vault as they learn to master cartwheels, handstands, and rolls.

  • Ages 5-7 Saturdays 9:00 AM
    • May 4-25
    • June 8-29
    • July 6-27
