We are growing with our community!  We are now offering a fun new variety of adult classes and would love for you to be a part of enjoying one or more with us.

 

 

Adult Dance Class

"Darkness falls across the land The midnight hour is close at hand Creatures crawl in search of blood To terrorize y'all's neighborhood" - Halloween is right around the corner! Come join dance instructor Jill as we learn the choreography for the "Thriller Dance!". Practice will be held on Saturdays from 6:30-7:30PM.

Women's Self Defense Seminar

In this seminar, you'll learn how to fight back using your voice, strikes (punches, kicks, knees, elbows), and defenses against real world attacks. You'll come away with skills to get home safe as well as develop and build the fighter mentality and spirit. This is a hands-on seminar. Expect a good workout with scenario and stress-based drills, all done in a safe and welcoming environment for any level of fitness and martial arts experience. 

Class will be held on October 12th from 9am to 11am.   Location is the Outdoor Fitness Unit, 600 Charles Blvd - Bob Bryant Park. Childwatch will be provided for ages 18 months to 12 years old. 

Registration is required.  $35 Members/$45 NonMembers

Yin Yoga Workshop

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of modern yoga with postures, or asanas, that are held for longer periods of time. For beginners, it may range from 45 seconds to two minutes; more advanced practitioners may stay in one asana for five minutes or more. Yin Yoga poses apply moderate stress to the connective tissues of the body, the tendons, fascia, and ligaments, with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. A more meditative approach to yoga, its goals are awareness of inner silence, and bringing to light a universal, interconnecting quality. 4 week program meeting once a week. Location: Downstairs at Kerr.

Thursdays 5:30pm to 6:30 pm, beginning October 10th.

Registration is Required.  Members $25 and NonMembers $40

Women with Weights

Develope the knowledge for strength trainging with other motivated women to get stronger, increase endurance and build friendships. This female focused class will introduce you to the weight room and weight lifting techniques that will build your confidence and help keep you accountable to meeting your own specific goals. 4 week class, Mondays and Wednesdays for an hour each. Child Watch will be available.  Classes are taught by vertified personal trainers. Location is Outdoor Gym @ Bob Bryant Park. Registration is required: $50 Members/$100 Non Members

TRX/Strong Class & Workshop

Have you wondered what TRX is all about? It's TOTAL RESISTANCE EXERCISE.  In other words, it is a supenion training program using your body weight.  It is a unique training tool for any level that allows you to use your own body weight and gravity as resistance.  TRX engages your core and other major muscle groups involved in specific movements.  This class is being held at the Outdoor Fitness Unit at Bob Bryant Park. Class is from 6pm-7pm with instructor Jo.  It's a value program included in your membership.  Non-members can participate as well with a $10 day pass.

Thursdays from 6 to 7pm.  No Registration Required.
