Thank you for visiting the Afterschool FAQ page! Below you will find answers to frequently asked questions about Y Afterschool. 

When will my child be able to start?

Enrollment forms received today will be able to start within 2-3 business days. Program Services staff will confirm via phone and/or email.

How do I update my billing information?

Every participant in our program has access to an online account. If you are having trouble figuring out your account information, please contact Program Services at 512-236-9622 and we can help. If you would prefer to fax or email an updated payment method authorization form, you can find one below.

What is the difference between selecting the 1st or 15th of the month for my draft date?

If you select the 1st of every month, you will be drafted at the beginning of each month. Drafts will occur September 1 - May 1, 2015. 

If you select the 15th of every month, you will be drafted on the 15th of the month before care is provided. Drafts will occur August 15 - April 15, 2015. 

How do I cancel my Afterschool Care?

In order to cancel care, written notice is required two weeks in advance of the last day of service. If your cancellation is received within the two week period, then a $25 cancellation fee will be applied to your cancellation request.

Will I be charged a registration fee to be on the waitlist?

No, you will not receive any charge if you are placed on the waiting list. However, you are more than welcome to provide us with your billing information in order to expedite the process once a spot does become available. 

How do I add an authorized pick-up?

Only the primary parent/guardian (or secondary if authorized) is able to submit a request to Program Services to identify an adult who is authorized to pick up the child. Please provide the full name and full contact information of the person you wish to add when submitting request.


When will I know if my child will be added from the waitlist into the program?

Once a spot becomes available, you will be notified via email and phone call. We allow a 48 hour period for you to respond and confirm your child's spot. If contact is not made within the 48 hours, we will proceed to call the next participant on the list. 

Will December's monthly fee be prorated because there are fewer days of care?

Our monthly rates are calculated based off of the total number of days of care offered throughout the academic school year. This results in nine equal monthly payments. Included in your monthly fees are early release days and All Day Care coverage during staff development days and some holidays.

We ask that you please contact the appropriate Program Director who oversees your child's Afterschool program. Please see below for a list of the Program Directors.
