Meet Indigo Haynes

Tell us about your philosophy about training and working out?

When I first got into exercise, I was young and fixated on this idea of becoming smaller and quickly became obsessed with all the wrong things. Since educating myself on proper training and changing my mindset towards exercise, I have grown confident and strong. I aim to inspire and educate others on how to train properly and in ways that they enjoy. When you find your confidence and happiness in yourself, you can radiate that energy into every other aspect of your life.

Tell us about your approach to training others?

I take an individualized approach to training others and aim to help them reach their goals while finding a love for moving their body! There is no one size fits all program-everyone has different goals, lifestyles, experience in the gym, and likes and dislikes. Training should add to your life and improve it!

Describe any populations you particularly like to work with, have a lot of experience with or knowledge around. (i.e. cancer survivors, teens, marathon runners, etc.)

What is your favorite exercise?

Sumo deadlifts

What is one thing that makes you real?  (i.e. what do you struggle with, what is hard for you, how can you relate to the non-fit/healthy member)

I struggle with eating enough(or enough of the right foods…cookies are good and easy to grab whoopsies) throughout the day at times because I get so busy! I have to plan out my day in order to eat enough. I also have weeks at a time where I dread going to the gym but after forcing myself to get there and just get it done, I usually have a good workout and leave happier than I came in.
