AUSTIN – The YMCA of Austin announced the election of Brian Haulotte, Vice President at JE Dunn Construction, as Chair of its Metropolitan Board of Directors at its 69th Annual Meeting. Haulotte will serve as board chair from 2022-2024. The YMCA also elected its new slate of officers for the 2022-2023 year, including:

  • Chair – Brian Haulotte: Vice President, Group Preconstruction Services, JE Dunn Construction

  • Vice Chair – Reagan Nash: Sr. Vice President-Wealth Management, UBS

  • Treasurer – Sharmila Kassam: Chief Operating Officer, Nasdaq Asset Owner Solutions

  • Secretary – Anamita Mukherjee: Director, Organizational Development, UFCU

“Greater Austin is changing rapidly, and we have ambitious plans at the Y to innovate and grow along with the community to meet new needs in new ways,” Haulotte said. “I’m honored to be entrusted by my peers with a leadership position on the Metropolitan Board of Directors.”

As the community emerges from the pandemic, the Y is evolving its services to include support for persons experiencing homelessness, mental health and mind-body programming, racial healing and reconciliation, expansion of partnerships to ensure health equity, and support for persons in recovery. Expanding these services will complement the growth in long-term programs in the areas of health and fitness, youth and family activities, and child education and care.

“Brian epitomizes the spirit of service that our Y volunteers bring to their work,” said Kathy Kuras, YMCA of Austin President and CEO. “He has the vision and strength of character to help lead us through this time of unprecedented change.”
