6 Grab-and-Go Breakfasts for Busy School Mornings

Step away from the pop tart and inject your mornings with a lot of nutrition and a little fun. These breakfasts don’t take any extra time but are jam-packed with all the energy to keep your kids focused until lunchtime. 
  1. Yogurt parfait—Layer protein-rich greek yogurt with your child’s favorite whole grain cereal and fruit.
  2. Funny face bagel—Spread cream cheese or peanut butter on one half of a sliced bagel, then create two eyes, a nose and mouth made of fruit or veggies.
  3. Breakfast pita—Make a grab-and-go breakfast pocket filled with scrambled eggs, cheese, sausage and veggies.
  4. Smoothie—Start with frozen berries, then add almond milk or juice, protein powder and a little maple syrup for sweetness. 
  5. Banana hot dog—Who says hot dogs aren’t for breakfast? Not when a whole grain bun gets slathered with peanut butter and wrapped around a peeled banana. 
  6. Crunchy apple rings—Core an apple, then slice it into rings. Spread cream cheese or peanut butter on one side of each slice, then cover with whole grain cereal.app
