‘Tis the season for potlucks and holiday parties. Celebrate the healthy way this year and be the potluck hero when you provide this nutritious alternative to the traditional fare. It’s easy to make, and the portions are scalable to feed many people or only a few. Your fellow partygoers will thank you for bringing this tasty treat!

What drives a person to run a marathon? While I’ve always admired the determination and discipline in people who take on the challenge, I’m curious what motivates them to do it in the first place.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! There’s lots of things going and room for heart growing with holiday cheer. Join your YMCA friends for a December to remember. This month is packed full of family-friendly events and celebrations for all ages to enjoy. Stop by one or all of your favorite events during the holiday season.

Are you a Central Texas musician, performer, or visual artist? Do you know someone who is? The YMCA wants to connect with you!

In an odd autumn season that has fluctuated between scorching heat and dreary month-long downpours, you could easily say it has been a challenge for families to plan great activities together.

The weather is changing and the holiday season is here. Other times, the cold and dark of autumn mean a sadder mood, and the holidays bring up feelings of loss and loneliness.

Dearest YMCA community,

I woke up today with so much hope because of the kindness we share in our Ys every day. Then I glanced at the news, only to see the headline of yet another mass shooting. My heart sank.

Welcome back, Elizabeth Doss! One of our longtime teachers returned to the Y today (Friday 10/19) to introduce her new baby. Members and staff were overjoyed to meet baby Bronwyn, who is about a month old now. Mom, dad, and daughter are doing very well.
