On Saturday, June 29, family and friends joined in celebrating the extraordinary life of Kathy Sue Kasprisin (1954-2019). Kathy was a longtime YMCA member, known for almost daily visits to TownLake over 26 years.

Remembrances from Kathy's obituary:

Meet new board members Susan Burton and Danielle Skidmore

Texas is rooted in a deep, rich history with traditions that span cultures, generations and hundreds of miles. While most people from the Lone Star State may know about significant battles like the Alamo or San Jacinto and historical figures including James Bowie and Stephen F. Austin, the history of African Americans in Texas has its own powerful and pioneering significance.

Don’t throw a wrench in your summer fun with a mishap or emergency. There’s a reason so many organizations emphasize safety during the summer months. More people are outdoors, traveling and engaging in activities they don’t do the rest of the year. Big gatherings and lots of free time can translate into kids experimenting without supervision.
