The YMCA of Austin triathlon training seeks to provide an inclusive, encouraging community for anyone wishing to participate in multi-sport. We welcome all levels of fitness, ability and experience and hope to foster a love of triathlon and a commitment to a healthy, active lifestyle. Our goal is to offer triathlon training for all ages and abilities. Whether you are a beginner, interested in tip-toeing into the world of triathlon, or are a seasoned triathlete, Y programs have something to offer. Y triathlon training promotes the benefit of structured, consistent training, paired with the advantages associated with group training.

WOMEN-ONLY TRI TRAINING
Whether you are a beginner and are 'tri-ing' training for the first time, or are a seasoned triathlete, Y Tri training has great things to offer! Early and late spring 8-week training programs will prepare women (and men) of all ages and abilities for "The Rookie Triathlon" in early May and for late May/early June events. Lots of outdoor training is included: supported group bike rides, trail runs, and open water swims. Grab a friend and join this supportive, empowering program. You'll have the time of your life! INTERVAL TRAINING FOR TRIATHLETES
Interval Training for Triathletes enables you to train with a group year-round: January through September. Coaches are experienced, USAT-certified, and modify group workouts to fit race goals of each participant. Each week the group trains on the track and indoors on the spin bikes performing triathlon-specific intervals designed to get you to the finish line faster. Triathlon-specific swim sessions combining freestyle technique and intervals are held every other week. This training is open to men and women, members and nonmembers. The Y-Tri Triathlon Club enables you to train with a group year-round. This co-ed Club provides supported group bike rides, runs, and open water swims, along with monthly speakers, interactive demos (think, how do I change a tire?) and other triathlon-related activities. The three club coaches are experienced and USAT-certified. Networking opportunities, fun social activities and support at great local races!
